Returning from Quebec last fall

Looking at last year's Inktober drawings, I wondered exactly when we'd returned from Quebec to the mountains of Western North Carolina last year. 

Seeing my September posts brought wistfulness. It was so beautiful there last year.

We actually arrived back home in Asheville on October 7, later than either of us remembered.

This was a neighbor's barn from September 30.  

But we're so, so far from the only ones whose current lives have been changed by the global pandemic.  

And we're fortunate, indeed, to now be in a lovely place and without a need to be at work in a physical place either.
