Inktober Day 20: A fall sassafras leaf
The sassafras leaves are turning yellow now, with some a deeper orange or red, depending on their site. A leaf that I collected this afternoon on Elk Mountain was the inspiration for today's drawing.

I've been blogging since 2007, first on Natural Gardening, which I continue, but I posted daily here from September, 2018 to September, 2019. My thoughts of connecting with sense of place, being at home, inspiration and creativity, and traveling, with forays into other topics, too, have resonated in since then. I’ve continued these thoughts through 2023 and will continue in the comings year as well. I'll be continuing to post here, along with posts on Natural Gardening.
