Inktober Day 11: A vivid fall leaf (Scarlet Oak)
The scarlet oak in front of the house is starting to show vivid color.
The wind and rain overnight brought down leaves of all sorts; a number of scarlet oak leaves on the front path were among them. A particularly bright one caught my eye, with patches of scarlet contrasting with the green.
Here was my interpretation of it for Day 11. I need brick red and deep red watercolor pencils, I'm realizing, along with several more shades of green. This is encouraging me to pull out my tube watercolors again, too, perhaps after Inktober is finished!

Very lovely colors. I too see many shades of green.
