Inktober Day 27: An Amelanchier leaf
I wasn't totally sure what this leaf was initially; it came from a multi-stemmed shrub recently planted along a new greenway, adjacent to a condo complex, also recently constructed.
It looked like Amelanchier (Serviceberry), but the vivid coloration of the leaves surprised me a bit.
There are cultivars selected for color, I learned after returning back home with the leaf.
And of course, there are a number of Amelanchier species, too, that are native to North America. So this was my subject for Inktober today.
