Another drawing

There was a drawing from the same group of classes that I posted about yesterday that I’m puzzling about.

It’s of two young people of mixed race.

I don’t have a photo record of my hubbie having taken anything that looked like that image, so I’m imagining that I drew it from some other photograph.

Most of my drawings as a young person were of botanical subjects.  My tip-toeing back into art has largely been natural subjects as well.

So I'm fascinated that I did a drawing of these two young people, from wherever they were from, and whomever they were.  I think this was the only portrait-like drawing that I've done, ever.

  1. I wish I had your talent for drawing. I create with my scrapbooks and that is where my ability ends.
I would love to see more of your art.

    1. Thanks, Lauren -- I feel like I'm encouraging myself to get started on doing art in different venues again...and appreciate your encouragement, too!

  2. Very nice, Lisa. I took life drawing classes and a few portraiture classes. Drawing from live models is so fast, but drawing from a photo is so much more difficult because of the loss of dimension. You did a great job!

    1. Thanks, Maggie. I hadn't thought about the loss of dimension in photographs -- but I'm quite sure this wasn't in person.... I'm seriously thinking about signing up for some classes in late winter and spring now. Maybe in winter, too!
