Hooray, we made it to Quebec

All was well at the house when we arrived in late morning.  Snow covers the landscape, but there was sunlight streaming through the windows and it was beautiful.

Fortunately, the convection heaters had kept the house around 60° F, so it wasn’t too cold — starting a fire in the wood stove started warming up things fairly quickly.

A trip to the grocery found me traveling a familiar route, but with frozen bays and snowy aspect — beautiful, but different from summer.  There were a LOT fewer folks on the road and at the grocery, absent the summer holiday-makers.

Now, we’re at a local sports bar waiting for the Clemson-Alabama game to start.  I didn’t have any success tricking ESPN and Apple TV via two VPN attempts that we were really in the US  (for any of our devices)— so we’re watching on a Canadian sports network, surrounded by sounds of hockey.

Welcome to Canada!
