Clocks

Looking for a mention of a venerable clock that’s been in our kitchen in the Piedmont and now in Asheville - and is fussy about how the battery is positioned — and reminded by a friend’s post about how a clock’s sounds comforts her, I’m remembering those sounds.

This particular clock was a wedding present from a colleague back in our post-graduate days.

Needless to say this was a long time ago (34 years now).  So it’s remarkable that it keeps ticking on, with careful battery positioning. I didn’t find an image of the clock in previous posts on Natural Gardening (hard to know why that would be a subject in my gardening blog, after all).

But I did find a lovely post from last summer reflecting on our first month in Quebec.  Telling now that we’re here in winter.
