A lovely local meadow
Walking around the historic village of Le Bic, a 5 minute drive from our house, is always nice. It's one of Woody's favorite walks, as there are abundant sniffing opportunities (from local dogs), which aren't common on our road.
Beyond the church, an impressive one, as so many in Quebec villages are, we came upon this attractive meadow, established on what seemed to be an old playing field.
There was gravel on the edge, with deeper soil supporting grasses, tansy, and other forbs. Quite nice.
