Another excellent day in Ireland

It’s a bit odd traveling on my own, but it has its own rhythms.

A great excursion up to the top of Knocknerea this morning was amazing.  Views everywhere.

Then as a follow-up, I took a boat trip (The Rose of Innisfree) — highly recommended — around Lough Gill, complete with Yeats poetry over the loudspeaker.

There were lovely expansive skies today.  May is apparently the best weather month in Ireland and I’ve had quite decent weather over all.  But I didn’t expect the thunderstorm/spotty rain activity either.  The weather reports are suggestive at best!
