Lovely to be in the countryside of Ireland, again.

Four days in Dublin were perfectly interesting, but it was a bit urban for my small city sensibilities. Great to visit, but I’m glad I don’t live in a big city.

So it was perfect to arrive in the Sligo countryside, in my HomeExchange place.  The folks here are gardeners, so their house is surrounded by delightful plantings — heather, herbs, veggies, and flowers.  And the rural road where the house is - it’s encompassed by pastures with sheep grazing, home gardens, along with amazing views to the sea beyond as well as to the hills above.

I’ll enjoy exploring the hiking trails nearby and within a 45 minute drive — there are lots of them.

  1. And, it’s so peaceful to be here, after the big city aspects of Dublin.
