Crested Iris
I'll just share the post that I made just now on Natural Gardening.
It was about Iris cristata and remembering a special SC Botanical Garden volunteer who gave us our first clump of it.

We're visiting friends in Tennessee and they took us hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park today (my knees are so sore). Anyway, we saw several patches of this cute little Iris. What a beauty. Sadly this is another woodland flower that cannot handle the competition from other plants in our garden.
ReplyDeleteGlad you were able to enjoy the wildflowers in the park! It's an exceptionally good year apparently, although you would have been a bit early for peak flowering, I think.
