A lot of presentations and programs

I did a final spring class this morning.  I was glad to do it. Designing with Native Plants was the topic, and I need to go down to my desktop to upload the pdf to Natural Gardening, as I’d said I would do.

I’m so glad to share encouragement and ideas now, as a volunteer, in “retirement” -  but geez, I overdid it this spring, with programs, consultations, etc. all crammed into 2 1/2 months.

I’m off to a place of the spirit next week — Ireland.   I’ll be spending a few days in Dublin, where I’ve never been, then off to our HomeExchange partners place near Sligo, for a couple of weeks.

I’m sure it will be wonderful. My gardening companion will be driving to our cottage in Quebec with Woody late this month. As Woody is now a “senior” dog, at 10 1/2, my gardening buddy felt that he needed to be with him.  Totally reasonable.

Our Irish HomeExchange partners will enjoy Asheville, I’m sure. And the folks this summer — we had them over this evening to see the spring garden — they’ll enjoy it, too.

  1. You have been very busy! I know you are looking forward to your upcoming trips and I am looking forward to living vicariously through you! The time is going so fast! We are driving to Boone tomorrow to visit the Daniel Boone Native Gardens. Tomorrow is their early bird wildflower walk and plant sale. I think it might be a rainy visit!

    1. Well, I'll be glad of some reflection time, that's for sure. Daniel Boone will be nice, I'm sure. One of my gardening friends was a board member/volunteer there for many years. The storm that's just passed through was fierce!
