Views in winter

The sun has distinctly moved from left to right as winter has progressed.  The sunset is different now, with the sun setting almost behind the far ridge of Pic Champlain.

The clear air after the snow storm yesterday brought lovely light, and the sunset, into our living room.

We’ve been so fortunate to be here this winter again, but equally fortunate to have early spring already appearing in the Western North Carolina mountains where we’re headed.

Driving south is a reminder of the transition from winter to spring in latitudinal time.
