Filling up the bird feeders in winter

The snow drifts have become impressive around our house in Quebec -- basically 3-4 feet deep.  The bird feeders out the living room windows are in a giant drift.

So, my gardening companion headed out there this afternoon on his Altai Hok hybrid skis, which happily kept him on top of the snow, unlike a previous excursion where he'd sunk into the snow quite a bit.
