Snowing again
It wasn’t that much snow, but it was welcome. The old snow has become a bit icy —even on the groomed trails in the Parc National du Bic and the Sentier du Littoral, but grooming makes all the difference.
I just walked today on packed snow — two days of skiing, first on XC-skies, the second on Altai-Hoks, well, I was tired and sore.
My gardening companion, much more fit than me, forged ahead, and had a lovely ski back and forth on the Sentier du Littoral.
It’s a wonderful path, maintained by the city of Rimouski we’re part of the incorporated city, outside of the village of Le Bic).
Here’s my buddie skiing ahead!

I think this is the Sentier du Littoral, but it could be the park, too. |
Beautiful sites and experiences.
ReplyDeleteIt is a wonderful experience to see these snowy landscapes, especially since we live outside of the city, so don't have to see "dirty" snow aside from the highway and in town.
DeleteI envy your fitness regimen.
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful to have the incentive to be out in the snow (or hiking in the park in the summer). My walks/rides in Asheville seem a bit drab in comparison. It's definitely a fitness incentive -- to be able to ski and bicycle halfway comfortably, I HAD to get back to lifting weights, etc. and up my walking and continue biking in Asheville. Yikes!
