It's been snowing again all day, cloaking the branches of the spruces outside the living room windows. The view across to the park is almost whited out by blowing and falling snow.

I would have ventured forth again to ski, but the windy conditions and much colder temperatures did make it seem appealing. My gardening companion took a brief ski down our road, in addition shoveling some snow and taking out the compost and recycling (the containers are behind the antique shed). I'm glad he's a hardy sort.

Our vintage stove keeps the living room warm. |
It's an excellent day to spend by the wood stove working on various projects. The hum of the fire makes a nice background noise to enjoy a snowy day.
Lisa, you really acquired a wonderful treasure with your little cottage. It all looks so lovely.
ReplyDeleteWe were so fortunate to bumble onto this place, by some odd serendipity. The Quebecois pine antiques plus the vintage wood stove are perfect on a snowy day.
