A last day in Germany

Half a day spent at Frankfurt's world class art museum, a walk along the river, and a visit to the Goethe Haus, along with enjoying the throngs of locals and tourists enjoying themselves in the inner city makes an excellent bookmark to a wonderful month here.

The tourist mix is much more diverse here than it was in Freiburg, not surprisingly as it's an international city and major tourist hub.  Asians and Americans are much more evident.

The city is modern, dotted with historic buildings, many rebuilt after bombing in WW II.  It's an interesting place, although I wouldn't want to stay here long.  But it's been a good alternative to a very early train ride to the airport from Freiburg!

A chorus of bells from this church peeled out yesterday.  Delightful.
