Weird weather
It’s been cold here for all of the time we’ve been in Quebec —it’s mid-winter, after all, so today’s forecast of wintry mix/icy rain with temperatures around 37°F; well, that seemed a bit strange.
The highway was totally clear of snow when we drove to Rimouski, our nearby “big” city of maybe 60,000. The asphalt was visible, amazingly.
As we drove in, the skies had cleared and the St. Lawrence River reflected the blue skies in submerged ice floes.
But coming back was a different story. The northern winds brought a snowy mix into the picture, so the roads rapidly became covered with snow again.
The breaking clouds made for a nice sunset yet again.
