A barn down the road

A heavy snow a couple of days ago had us staying at home and just skiing down our road and up into a nearby farm field.  Over a foot of snow had fallen overnight, so it was prudent to just let the snowplows do their work!

I hadn’t noticed how beautiful the doors in one of the old barns were, until we skied by.  I returned to take a photo and did a sketch this afternoon.

It's a bit of a whimsical interpretation, but I was glad to do at least one drawing while here in Quebec!
