Mt. Shasta

My grandparents lived, and my parents were born, not far from Mt. Shasta in Northern California.  My maternal grandparents lived in the National Forest north of Redding; my paternal grandparents lived in Redding, where both of my parents went to high school.

So I've always loved this Mt. Shasta fruit box label, acquired in a Savannah, GA antique print shop, I think.

It's accompanied me for many years -- it was in the kitchen in our Piedmont house.

So now it's above my computer in Asheville, reminding me of my Northern California roots.
