A French Broad river kayak

We have a wonderful stretch of the French Broad River that's now reclaimed by a remarkable greenway, accompanying bikeway, and sidewalks on both side of Riverside Dr.

Now some might decry the federal, state. and city money that's gone into this project, but it was truly uplifting today to see all of the folks using it, even before its official opening.  Some on the greenway were tourists, most were locals, but the tourists were out for the River Arts District studio stroll in any case.

My gardening companion had fun on a very short trip from the Amboy Bridge to the Craven Bridge.
