A nice evening

An afternoon close to 60°F had us walking downtown, enjoying the vib. There were lots of young folks out on South Slope enjoying local breweries and a mix of folks downtown, from the Southern Conference basketball fans to regional tourists enjoying a day out.

Spring is on the way, with cherries and Asian magnolias about to flower, Bradford pears almost there, and thrift and winter annuals flowering already.

We felt fortunate to be able to be out in our mountain town this evening.  We’d expected three months of walking downtown, going out, etc., but it’s hard to predict now.

It was great to be out — our small mountain city's downtown is a excellent place to visit, at least in the off-tourist-season.

A view from the parking lot of the Asheville Visitor Center, just up the street from us, a few days ago.
