Stopovers of gulls and snow geese
Huge flocks of snow geese and gulls weren’t something that I expected to see. But in Havre du Bic and other sheltered places along the river on the way to Rimouski, more water-associated birds than I’d ever seen clustered together before were dramatic to see. Our birding friend confirmed that this was a regular migratory occurrence, with snow geese and a number of different species of gulls part of the current group. Wow. Something I never expected to see.
