Extended fall color

Lack of frost yet here has extended the fall color, especially the yellows of aspens, maples, and other species.  The leaves have remained on the trees, creating ribbons of yellow on the ridge across the highway in the park.  The reds remain evident, too, in many places; sugar maples and red maples provide the show.

My gardening companion took this amazing photo yesterday in the park.  The view is from the Baie du Ha!Ha!  Beautiful.
