Returning to Asheville by the end of October
Our 5-month tenant, who's been traveling for the month since Helene, returned today for a short visit and confirmed our house was fine. Her new house is fine, too. We're fortunate.
The water is running quite clear in our house, she reports, although it's still not potable without boiling, the power is on: all good. She's running the dishwasher and doing laundry.
Some of the images that she sent today were striking about the scarlet oak that fell towards our neighbors.

Thank goodness, our neighbors can get in their house now!
Oh gosh, I'm glad it's OK for the most part. That will be emotional and challenging to return, I'm sure. Thinking about you. <3
