Good to be back in Asheville

All is well in our house.  Lot of downed trees cut-up and at the curb in our neighborhood, but life is continuing. I’m still thankful that we didn’t have to endure the two weeks without power, cell service, or internet, not to mention no running water until 2 1/2 weeks out.  It’s still not drinkable, but quite clear, and fine for laundry and running the dishwasher, bathing and hand washing.

The big oak that fell is still partially there; the root mass in its tip up is impressive.

It’s a gift to have an intact house, with a beautiful gingko turning golden in front. So nice to return in time to see it.
