Seaside goldenrod (Solidago sempervirens)

This lovely goldenrod is a resident of the intertidal zone here in Quebec and the maritime provinces, as well as coastal areas throughout much of eastern North America.  It was unfamiliar to me, but a welcome discovery on yesterday morning's walk in parc national du Bic.


It grows along a distinct tidal line, in a large swath.  Here's just a small patch.

Identifying plants is more challenging with French field guides!
