Staying at home

Our post-dinner walk was a short one tonight. We stayed at home.

In lieu of doing a St. Lawrence bay or seaside walk, we checked out how the landscape was shaping up (largely due to my gardening companion’s clean-up efforts).

I admired the view from the back porch towards our neighbor Pierre’s house first.  It’s such a lovely view up to his barn. 

Then, we ambled through a former rough lawn (when we bought the house), nicely transforming to meadow now.  A mown path makes it accessible.  There are raspberries and asparagus plantings in patches, too, as well as desired tree saplings.

So nice to see.
