A trio of Roman dogs

We were in Italy in the winter of 2008/2009 - our winter break as we were still teaching then, on an academic schedule.

We lucked into a quiet, holiday period in Rome, where streets had turned pedestrian.  Wonderful.

These fellows (I was reminded of them, revisiting photos recently) were delightful. These are photos taken by my gardening companion.

We certainly hope to return to Italy and elsewhere in Europe, too, in coming years, just as we wish to return to Quebec next summer and winter. 

We are privileged indeed.
