Hope for a new year
We were in Hoi An, Vietnam some years ago during a full moon celebration in early January.
The focus (practiced by the townspeople who participated) was making a wish for the New Year as they dropped paper lanterns into the river.
It was a magical experience and has remained one of many favorite memories of looking towards a new year.
Somehow, my original post about it doesn't come up, but this remembrance does.
