Coastal bald cypress

I took this photo thinking it would be a good drawing subject, on a Thanksgiving weekend walk in Duck, NC.

But with the hustle and bustle of family, and a final potato gnocchi dinner that I managed from the leftover mashed potatoes -- well,  a drawing didn't happen.

Regardless, it's a beautiful image from a wonderful place in the world.
