The Shut-in Trail

Just up from the entrance to the NC Arboretum and Blue Ridge Parkway access lies the Shut-in Trail, a historic path which begins at Bent Creek and climbs up to the flanks of Mt. Pisgah.  A morning walk up to the first viewpoint of the French Broad River proved magical, although a bit damp and slippery.   Nice to be out in the woods.
