Echoes of the past
Historic lighthouses punctuate the Outer Banks, as well as many other coastal areas.
This somewhat whimsical drawing is Currituck Beach Lighthouse, the northernmost one. We visited it today, as well as the small historic Corolla village near by. (The community of Corolla today is a highly-dense area comprised of very large beach houses in developments), linked by the main road and side grids. Happily, it’s also linked by very nice multi-use trails. We both enjoyed them on bike rides this morning.
