Looking forward to our return to Quebec

It's hard to underestimate how much I'm looking forward to the parc national du Bic, the landscapes along the Gulf of St. Lawrence, and to our historic cottage and landscape (no matter how much it's overgrown).

It's a magical place. And we've been counting the months.  It will have been a year and half, if we're able to return on schedule in August.   The border opens August 9; we're planning to cross August 10.

Covid tests are scheduled just before our departure, so hopefully will be negative within our 72 hour window.  We have a 2 1/2 day drive to our house in Quebec, so we'll hopefully cross the border after 2 days of driving; we're scheduled to stay overnight in Plattsburgh, NY.

There are hoops to jump through.  ArriveCAN info needs to be filled out within that 3 day period.  We're still supposed to have a quarantine plan if we test positive -- thankfully, with a house to go to, that's not an issue.

In the meantime, I just have a couple of pages of manuscript to finish updating to my digital files -- completing winter 2020.  Two summers and two winters in Quebec.  So then it's on to selecting photos and images -- I know the ones that accompanied the original blog posts, of course, but I have so many other images, too.

I ran across this one putting together an album to send to a friend.  This is such a magical view in Havre du Bic.
