A morning walk in Parc National du Bic

It was a short one.  I needed to drive through a rainy day to Quebec City, for my departure tomorrow for Denver and the Garden Blogger’s Fling.

But it was nice, nevertheless.  Wild Columbine (Aquilegia canadensis) was growing, unexpectedly, in the meadows near the beach at the Point des Epinettes (sp ?). In English, it means something like Fir Point or Point of the Firs.  The insects deterred closer photos.

I escaped the gnats (and occasional black fly) walking up to the viewpoint.
