Ice-fishing
It was remarkable to see the tents emerge on the ice today in Rimouski's harbor, relatively free of ice until recently. Traditionally, the ice-fishing huts have been wooden.
Today, they were all tents, easy to quickly put up and take down, I guess, reflecting the changing climate here. They may not be up long as warmer temperatures are ahead for a couple of days, following by much colder ones again. The ice didn't look that thick!
Interesting.
It looks lovely but scary to me. Lauren
ReplyDeleteDefinitely scary-looking, with the ice a greenish hue where it's thinner!
