An excellent January

We've had just enough snow to be good for xc skiing, but less snow to be shoveled from the driveway.  Both good things.

January was a much grayer month than we've experienced in the past, so the bright days are wonderful.

An afternoon sunset was beautiful, as were views skiiing along the Chemin du Nord in Parc du Bic this morning. I didn't manage an image this morning (requiring removing mittens at 12° F), but it was spectacular.

Here's the sunset!

  1. Beautiful photos, as always. :) I'm glad you've had just enough snow. We had NO snow for weeks on end, at the same time we had very cold temps. I'm preparing for plant loss because of the lack of snow as insulation. We shall see. Now we have a little snow and more normal winter temps. Yay.

    1. Beth, we've had much less snow this winter, but enough for skiing (and covering plants, too). Glad that you've finally got a bit of snow and more normal temps!
