A whimsical flower inspired by Coreopsis verticillata
I never have time to draw or paint, but I made a commitment to a drawing a day when my studio here in Quebec was finished a couple of weeks ago.
Having an art studio space is magic, indeed. I figured I needed to honor the work that our friend Jean put into it; so, a drawing a day.
This evening is rainy and we were out through late afternoon, so I did a pencil drawing of a pewter container instead of a watercolor pencil version.
Yesterday, I did this flower inspired by Coreopsis verticillata in the bed in front of the antique shed. It was my Saturday afternoon drawing, before going to a garden party at friends.
Here's the pewter pitcher.
Hmm, quick iPhone photos are about like tricking myself into doing drawings!
