Creating beauty -- an expectional sidewalk planting

a wonderful sidewalk planting

There’s a road that I used to walk frequently with a gardening friend, now in Virginia.  The invisible gardener planted delphiniums along the sidewalk edge along with a symphony unfolding of other perennials.

I don’t know who the gardener is, but the house above the strip, absolutely wonderful this year, is for sale.  I hope it's not the house of the gardener, but I fear it is.

As I walked by this morning,  opera was being played.  Was it being played by the gardener(s), I thought.  Magical.

This year’s planting are so much more exuberant than they've been  Perhaps it's the final "hurrah!"
