A lovely view from the Grove Park Inn

On this morning's walk, I was so glad to see the view from the Sunset Terrace.  It was quiet this morning without many mid-week travelers, although it was busy last weekend with regional tourists as my gardening companion and I looped through, hoping to spend some time on the terrace.

No tables were available so we kept walking, simply enjoying the views.

The Grove Park Inn was closed until recently, because of Buncombe County restrictions, but hotels in Asheville have been able to open up now at reduced capacity over the last couple of week.

On last Saturday night, the travelers at GPI seemed to be from Atlanta, Florida and New York, judging by their attire, always a suspect guessing game.

Folks who live in Asheville tend to dress differently  -- each of the above cities has a distinct look, reflected in their downtown presence in normal tourist times.  The Grove Park Inn is a pricey venue, so that skews the "look" there even more.

Nothing wrong with looking like where you normally live -- I've fully embraced looking like I live in Asheville, complete with my purple gardening vest, green pants, handcrafted necklaces, etc.!
