Fall pickerelweed
Still worrying about Asheville, but appreciating the wonderful place where we are.
The view of the grand swath of red was remarkable along the Pointe aux Anglais a few days ago. What was it, we thought? The marsh prohibited closer examination.
Pickerelweed, maybe? I'd seen some small patches at Île-aux-Amours in Parc du Bic some days before.
And sure enough, it was pickerelweed, probably. It's a bright red color now, as the days are cooling off.
