Christmas treats

I didn’t really want to bake batches of German Christmas cookies. 

There are only two of us, and we don’t need vast batches of cookies. 

But thanks to holiday inspiration and a Christmas gift, I sprung for an order from Zingerman’s in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I ordered Lebkuchen, Spingerle, and Pfeffernüsse.  

The lebkuchen are totally wonderful.  What a treat!
