A view of the French Broad River

The French Broad is a very old river, flowing north. It lies below the center of Asheville, between downtown, South Slope, and Southside, across the river to West Asheville.

I frequently enjoy it, walking or biking along the relatively new greenway, which now extends along both sides of the river, and will extend farther in the upcoming years.

But a few days ago, I was reminded of the beautiful views of the French Broad from the Deerpark trail at the Biltmore Estate.
