Saint-Fabien-sur-Mer
An after-dinner trip down to the beach to nearby Saint-Fabien-sur-Mer found us collecting driftwood, sea spinach, and admiring the sunset.
All more than worthwhile activities.
The sea spinach will be part of tomorrow's dinner, mixed with greens from the market, as it's a bit too salty on its own.
Blueberries collected from the farm on the 2nd Rang (the road above us) this afternoon will be eaten fresh and made into some sort of cobbler tomorrow. Half of them are already in the freezer.
I'm trying to think about how I could manage to bring some of my berry jam back to Asheville, but am a bit challenged by the regulations around homemade jam. It seems like nonsense, but I'd hate to lose a few jars, if questioned by the border patrol folks.
