Drawing practice

I'd like to improve my ability to draw/paint shapes, whether a tomato or an apple or something else.

When you google "how to draw shapes,"  lots of boring exercises pop up around cubes, spheres, and perspective.  I'm really not interested in those kinds of exercises; but I do understand practicing is a good thing.

So I've practiced on apples (they floated), and today, cherry tomatoes and sugar snap peas.  Maybe a bit better.

Ha, ha - still pretty far from the original;  inspiration from a delicious garden harvest.  The first tomatoes were exceptional.  Probably the best I've ever grown!
