Sassafras in fall

As we head back to Asheville, I’m encouraged by images of the sassafras out the upstairs window last year. This was November 10th of 2020.

 

The screen in the image just brings home the view.  And we have a lovely house to return to - I see this view every time I'm upstairs at that end of the house.

The views in the Shenandoah Valley of the Blue Ridge Mountains were wonderful today.  Truck traffic exceeded car traffic, which was  nice.  

But trucks are not relaxing companions on the highway, either. We'll be glad to get back to Asheville tomorrow.
