A final departure
Now back in Asheville, I felt wistful seeing these photos, taken by my gardening companion. We were glad to return, but a bit sad to depart, too.

We were happy to return to a robust landscape, tended by a wonderful neighbor. I hope that she enjoyed lots of tomatoes, eggplants, and peppers, as well as the kale and parsley that still keep producing.
Woody is enjoying all of the dog smells on his neighborhood walks: much more interesting than our road in Quebec (aside from the horses which had recently returned to the neighborhood barn). He thought our dog-friendly La Quinta overnight stays were pretty interesting, too!
