A wonderful walk at Porc Pic

It was a perfect morning for a wonderful coastal hike between St. Fabien and St. Simon called Porc Pic.  

Along the steep trail, there are wonderful views of the St. Lawrence, as well as interesting plant communities and rock outcrops.  My friend and I did our walk practicing French and English back and forth.  It's a great combination of walking and language practice.

I didn't get a photo of twin flower (Linnea borealis), but it was beautiful in full flower along the trail.

The highlight today were the lady slipper orchids in the boggy spots:  this one was a highlight.
