Cool air

After three days of record-breaking heat (at least in places nearby), I'm grateful for cool air pouring in the windows this evening.

It has been hot by any measure.  Up to 90 F on Monday, 88 on Tuesday, and close to that again today.  And the overnight lows didn't bring much relief;  the fan helped, but...

Fortunately, in the face of widespread drought in Canada, and water restrictions in our city of Rimouski, we have a deep well.  It produces ample water even in these droughty times.   Watering has been necessary, for vegetables, flower borders, and fruit trees.
