An orchid flowers again
Remarkably, we have two orchids and a birds-nest fern which survived over two months away this last winter.
First, our Home Exchange folks watered before they left after their Christmas stay. But then perhaps our monthly house cleaners added some water, too? And our neighbor, bringing in some accumulated mail?
Orchids are survivors, and our common houseplant version, epiphytes, I think.
This one, a small Trader Joe’s gift, is flowering again.
Very nice! I haven't had much luck with indoor Orchids...I don't seem to get the light conditions right. Maybe I'll try again. They last for several months and then just slowly expire. Love them, though.
